Nightmare At 20,000 Feet: Horror Stories By Richard Matheson

For some reason, I was in the mood for short stories yesterday—scary or creepy ones, to be more precise. So I jumped on the Kindle store and got this collection—no disappointment here. These stories (some of which may seem familiar, since a few ended up as Twilight Zone episodes) are perfectly compressed and just scary enough to linger in your mind a bit before you move on to the next one. I blew through the whole book in about three hours (“Just one more story…”). In case the author’s name is kind of ringing a bell, check out his page on Wikipedia—it’s very likely that you’ve seen a movie or TV episode based on something he’s written.
